Situated in the Dubai Hills Business Park just a short distance from its sister restaurant, Reif Kushiyaki, is the newly opened Hoe Lee Kow. Owned by award-winning chef Reif Othman, this is the debut branch of the unusual eatery.
The restaurant offers a trifecta of Korean cuisine – Banchans, Gimbaps (Korean style rolls), and Korean BBQ – uplifted with flavours inspired by Reif’s global travels and culinary experience in French, Italian, and Asian cuisines. Clearly, Reif is not afraid to bend the rules and challenge the norm. Even the restaurant’s name showcases a daring, playful, and adventurous edge often unseen in the culinary world.
It was only right that the interior aesthetics reflected the unconventional spirit of the restaurant. A&T Group Interiors worked with designer Twenty One 06 to deliver a full interior fit-out covering 2,400 sq ft.
The aim was for diners to feel like they’d been transported to the heart of Seoul. From the striking look of the mask wall, to diverse seating arrangements and the standout dress taking center stage, every detail is refreshingly quirky yet authentically Korean.
Bringing an entirely new culinary and visual experience to Dubai, Hoe Lee Kow is not to be overlooked.
