A&T Group Interiors is delighted to have delivered the full interior fit-out for DIFC’s coolest new hangout, Alma Bar.
Alma Bar is a luxurious yet relaxed speakeasy from the team behind Sucre, Dubai’s premier Argentinian fine dining experience. Both Alma and Sucre have their roots in London’s Soho and are renowned across the UK’s capital for their understated style and laid-back luxe.
The design pays homage to those London origins whilst also updating Alma’s style for its Dubai setting, with plush velvet upholstery complemented by regal Persian rugs draped from the ceiling.
Cosy stalls and intimate lighting help to achieve that all-important speakeasy feel, while statement digital art pieces with displays of the famous Spanish artist Salvador Dali give a nod to the literary and artistic influences on Alma’s vibe.
The mix of cultural styles and influences on display is a carefully curated celebration of craftsmanship and the beauty that emerges when different heritages converge.
Our interior fit-out also focused on facilitating Alma’s role as a versatile space. The bar is designed to be the perfect spot for both networking and nights out, and hosts live music twice a week. It was important for the design to accommodate the brand’s full range of clientele whilst retaining a cohesive overall feel.
The 6,000 square feet space is cocooned in indulgent, regal tones – think reds, golds, and copper accents. Luxurious materials such as marble and paneled wood are interspersed with soft fabrics and intricate screens, ensuring a classic and timeless feel that nevertheless fits seamlessly into Alma’s DIFC setting.
