Basko Dubai

A&T completed the full interior fit out works for the new 1960-inspired Mediterranean restaurant and speakeasy-style bar, Basko. The restaurant features a distinctive indoor dining area, intimate speakeasy-style bar, live robata kitchen plus a vibrant outdoor terrace. Located on the ground floor of the beautiful Opus by Zaha Hadid, Basko is inspired by the speakeasies of America's Prohibition Era, and offers guests gorgeous Downtown views, chic retro interiors, plus a world-class menu from the legendary Youssef Akiki.

Designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan, the eccentric but stylish decor by internationally recognized interior designer Lazaro Rosa Violan, features a multitude of prints and clashing colours that are bound to catch the eye and moreover, earn the restaurant a reputation as Dubai’s latest instagrammable hotspot. Splashes of deep reds and blues feature across the main touchpoints at Basko with retro patterns and artwork across the venue. Artistic details make up the aesthetic of the restaurant fit out, with abstract artworks framed over the entire wall, a mirrored chandelier-adorned spiral staircase, and ruby red tassels falling from the ceiling to create a rose like artwork. The secret speakeasy bar Suave, on the top floor is inspired by the 1960’s era with its patterned carpet, velvet lounges and a library of over 200 vintage records.
