Mimi Mei Fair draws heavy inspiration from 1920s Shanghai, particularly the Art Deco style, creating a unique and immersive experience. The design strikes a perfect balance between opulence and character, embracing maximalism without feeling overwhelming. Unlike many modern restaurants that opt for a minimalist, industrial aesthetic, Mimi Mei Fair presents a more dramatic atmosphere, reminiscent of a grand residence or an empress's personal sanctuary.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a lavish private dining room that sets the tone for the venue's eclectic charm, with furniture that seems to have been carefully sourced from vintage collections. The space is divided into several distinctive dining areas, each with its own flair. A bold parlour features red chandeliers and rose velvet banquettes, while a library combines English country house elements with traditional Chinese decorative pieces. The terrace offers a serene garden-inspired escape with stunning views of the Burj Khalifa. Additionally, the Moon bar pays homage to the legend of Yutu, the Jade Rabbit.
The overall design is rich with thoughtful details, each corner revealing a new surprise. Personal touches, often inspired by the owner’s family history, are scattered throughout the venue, with various collectibles reflecting the owner’s parents' passion for books and antiques, further enriching the atmosphere.
