An acclaimed chef in Dubai’s culinary scene, Reif Othman unveils Nama Yoso inside Mirdif Avenue Mall. Promising to give traditional Japanese cuisine a refreshing, present-day twist, it’s an apt concept perfectly suited to one of the most modern cities across the globe.
However, the interior aesthetics need to reflect the sophistication of the menu. A&T Group Interiors delivered the full interior fit-out with designer Twenty One 06 inside the 3,200 sq ft venue.

Focused on using raw materials to reflect the meaning of the restaurant’s name, textured stone, natural wood, and characterful terrazzo flooring will feature throughout, creating a warm, uplifting ambience. However, the mesmerising swirls inspired by damascus steel will undoubtedly be the venue’s signature pattern, giving a subtle nod to the incredible craft of Japanese knife making.
Other oriental elements such as scrolls, azen garden, and bamboo lanterns not only promise to create an authentic atmosphere, but add a touch of sophistication. Despite the contrast between modern and traditional aesthetics, the venue will feel beautifully harmonic –the perfect setting for an upscale dining experience.
Keep your eyes peeled for updates on the launch of Nama Yoso!
