Pai Thai Jumeirah Al Qasr

Nestled among the waterways of Madinat Jumeirah, Pai Thai serves up authentic Thai cuisine with picturesque views of the luxurious Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel. The warm yet vibrant interior complements the overall Thai flair with stylish iconic elements and traditional, eclectic glamour. In 2019 Pai Thai engaged A&T to complete the interior fit-out when the restaurant underwent a refurbishment to increase dining capacity, season-proof the space for year-round service and create more efficient patterns of mobility and flow.

A&T's scope included a refit of the kitchen and dining area, plus a new indoor-outdoor bar lounge with a retractable ceiling for season round use. The interior narrative of Pai Thai is inspired by the Thai residence of Jim Thompson - the American businessman credited with helping to revitalize the Thai silk industry and eight wall panels in the lounge area are upholstered in Jim Thompson tiger print fabric.

The design features a fresh colour palette and refurbishment of FF&E, ceilings made from original Thai rattan, playful lighting featuring monkey and parrot figures and an Ananbo tropical print on the walls in the family dining room. Bathrooms feature custom print wallpaper of cheeky monkeys surrounded by a gold tiled wall by Maya Romanoff and brass faucets from Sherle Wagner, while the bar footrest is supported by elephant-shaped hardware.
